The Roost A-Frame is tucked in the woods outside of the quiet town of Lake Ann, making it an ideal location for checking out from the usual hustle and bustle. Despite its remote location, there are still plenty of amenities nearby. We recommend planning to spend at least one evening in the village of Lake Ann. Call ahead to order your dinner for pickup from Stone Oven, then head to Lake Ann Brewery to find a seat outdoors. They have live music every night in the summer and offer beer, seltzers, and wine to drink. When your food is ready next door at Stone Oven, just walk up to their pickup window and bring the food to the Brewery. Have kids along with you? They’ll love the park and ice cream shop next door!

This Grand Traverse Conservancy Trail boasts 200+ acres of hiking and fishing on a beautiful, wooded preserve. The property backs right up to the A-frame’s property, and has over 6 miles of hiking trails.
Lake Ann Pathway

This multi-use trail system is within a state forest that overlooks multiple inland lakes and follows a stretch of the Platte River. Perfect for hiking in the summer or cross-country skiing in the winter, you’ll find nearly four miles of trails to enjoy.
